Musette Bridal
prides itself on bringing the latest bridal ideas to Boston from around the
world. Imagine the thrill of jetting off to Barcelona for the weekend to attend
the 25th annual Barcelona Bridal Week to see the latest visions in
white for 2016. Featuring 230 exhibitors and 10,000 wedding gowns from Europe
and beyond, and watching the glamorous catwalks hosted in gentrified castles,
was a dramatic and wildly impressive experience. The dresses presented were
ideal for the cookie-cutter-adverse bride with edgier ideas in mind, yet
mingled nicely with billowy, more classic designs. Barcelona Bridal Week provided
us with the opportunity to see the newest International designer collections
that we could order and introduce to the Boston crowd—bridal collections with
ideas that are new, unique, and never seen before. Collections we’ll soon have

Rosa Clará, Jenny Packham, and Remona Keveza, among others.
This year marked the twenty-fifth edition of Barcelona
Bridal Week, and has officially built a bridge between the United States and
Europe, crowning Barcelona as the global capital of bridal fashion amongst its
neighboring countries.
The trends for spring/summer 2016 include mile-long trains;
cropped tops paired with multi-tiered gowns and sheer over-skirts; appliquéd
flowers and elaborate embellishments with stones, beading, and embroidery;
sheer caplets; wide belts to emphasize whittled waistlines; illusion sheers
with unique accents such as buttons down the back; oversized ball gowns divided
in the middle to reveal a shorter dress beneath; and so much more.
